(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 08, 2007 ) San Angelo, TX – This March, one of the largest emu farmer co-operatives in the United States, EPIC, celebrates its fourth year of participation in the American Emu Association Certified Business Member program. The Certified Business Member (CBM) program was originally set up to enable the American Emu Association (AEA) to refer consumers to companies able to respond quickly and professionally to inquiries for emu oil or meat. Partial use of the CBM program fees in the past have included development of an infomercial, press releases and their distribution as well as production of oil and meat brochures. The program opens for sign-ups in January and closes March 20th each year. Emu Producers International Cooperative (EPIC) operates a Texas State Certified (TRLA #569) processing and refining plant capable of processing 5,000 - 10,000 lbs of emu fat and refining 150 gallons of fully refined emu oil daily. “We offer custom processing to both members and non-members,” said Carolyn Sanders, EPIC General Manager. “We also have AEA Certified fully Refined Emu oil available in containers from 2 ounce to 55 gallon drums.” "AEA is proud to have EPIC continue on as a San Angelo, TX -- Certified Business Member," states AEA President Charles Ramey.
