 (EMAILWIRE.COM, October 28, 2011 ) New York, NY -- At the 2011 E3 press conference, UBI Soft made a surprise announcement. Far Cry 3, the stealth shooter video game is going to be released next year for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The announcement included a long gameplay demo, where it shows how the game is filled with jungle action. The official Far Cry 3 release date is set for February 1, 2012.
The Far Cry 3 game is going to be mainly published by UBI Soft Montreal, but get additional support from Massive Entertainment and UBI Soft Shanghai. The original game, “Far Cry,” was published in March 2004 under Ubisoft and Crytek Studios. Then, “Far Cry 2” was released in October 2008. It is safe to say that there is a four year cycle for the releasing of every game franchise, considering that “Far Cry 3” will be out in 2012.
In this third installment of Far Cry games, players will take the role of Jason Brody; the man who is stranded at the end of the world on a strange tropical paradise. The island is oozing with savageness and lawlessness. The players are allowed to dictate how the story will progress. They get to choose the battles that Brody will take part in, as well as the friends and enemies he comes across on his journey.
