(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 12, 2011 ) West Chester, Pa. – Top Chester County, PA realtor Don Dowd has become known for going “above and beyond” to get his clients’ homes sold at the highest possible price and in the shortest possible time. One of the primary factors that makes Dowd’s approach different is his willingness to employ several creative marketing methods that most realtors shy away from because they believe they are either too expensive or take too much effort.
Some of the marketing techniques that have helped place Dowd in the top 5 in sales out of over 3200 Pennsylvania and Delaware area RE/MAX agents in the last couple years include:
• Luxury Homes & Estates Magazine Listings
• Distinctive Homes Magazine Listings
• Chester County Life Magazine Listings
• Home Décor & Ideas Magazine Listings
• The Real Estate Book Listings
• Internet & Email Blasts
• Broker’s Only Cocktail Party-style Open Houses
This month, Dowd has added a new marketing weapon to his arsenal; YouTube video blasts.
“Up until now, I’ve been using video for select luxury home clients who have the front and back cover of Luxury Homes & Estates Magazine,” Dowd says. “However, video viewing traffic on YouTube has exploded to the point where it only makes sense to give ALL my clients a free professionally-made video of their home for the whole world to see. I believe this will increase exposure exponentially and bring more traffic through the homes I’m listing, helping them sell much faster.”
Statistics show that YouTube is now the second largest search engine on the internet. Only Google itself has more search traffic than its video sharing subsidiary. This prompts the question-if YouTube videos are such an effective way of gaining exposure and traffic, why arenÂ’t more realtors doing it for their clients?
“Videos can be very expensive to produce,” Dowd continues. “Particularly those made professionally, and when it comes to marketing a home, you can’t afford to cut corners. This rule applies especially to video production, because a poorly made video can do more harm than good.”
Dowd believes that the investment in a professional video is well worth it, because it will more than pay for itself in the long run.
“With any kind of sales, the key to the game is getting qualified leads. In the case of real estate, this means traffic viewing the home either online or visiting in person for open houses or private showings. My video blasts not only go out onto YouTube, the second-busiest search engine on the web, but I use an added twist that brings these videos even MORE targeted traffic and exposure and gives my clients a big edge over the competition. And we are already seeing incredible results from these efforts.”
Real Estate Agent West Chester PA Don Dowd says his creative video marketing technique (with a twist) has already given his listings far greater exposure in a shorter amount of time than even he thought possible. With the ever-increasing popularity of video sharing/viewing online, DowdÂ’s video blasts are likely to be a big hit with his clients for the foreseeable future.
