However, the iPad 2 isn't supported yet, as Cupertino has somehow managed to tighten up its security to fend off hackers (for now). FastSn0w users have also been told to hang tight until there's a compatibility fix. The FastUnlockiPhone.com team will announce on Twitter when this becomes available. As for those who are eligible for this new jailbreak, head over to FastUnlockiPhone.com for download links. Users must have the corresponding IPSW files handy as well. These files can easily be found at iClarified or on any major search engine.
Jailbreaking and Unlocking iPhone 4 iOS 5.0.1 – a tutorial

It has been confirmed that the official release for iOS 5 untethered jailbreak by FastUnlockiPhone.com has been released. It could be this midnight or before Monday. Untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 will be available through a new version of FastRa1n for Windows & Mac and PwnageTool for Mac only. PwnageTool will be able to preserve baseband.
If a user already has a tethered jailbreak using sn0wbreeze v2.4b1, there is no need for a full restore before using either redsn0w or PwnageTool. To unlock iOS 5, users will need the new version of FastRa1n.
