Women Builders Council, Inc. Inaugural Awards Ceremony Salute Women in the Building and Construction Industry

(WBC), a not-for-profit trade organization, comprised of senior leaders in the New York City building industry, hosted their inaugural 2007 Champions Award Dinner in late June at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. Established in 2004, WBC provides an influential voice for women architects, engineers, contractors and sub-contactors in the public policy and legislative process in New York. Members include both men and women who are committed to assisting women businesses in achieving the highest standard of success in the building field. Honorary co-hosts for the event were: the Honorable Christine Quinn. Speaker, New York City Council, and Edward J. Malloy, President, Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York.The Honorable David A. Paterson, New York State Lieutenant Governor, served as the keynote speaker.
