(EstateNewsWire.com, October 04, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA- A young Claycomo girl had to be rescue by local police last month after she was padlocked into her house. Police were notified by a bail bondsman told that a three-year-old girl was trapped inside the home with no way to escape in the event of a fire or other emergency. The bondsman was at the residence earlier that day looking for the girl’s father, who was later was reportedly shoplifting at the time.
The bondsman called police who went to the Riley Street house and found that the girl was padlocked into the home from the outside and essentially trapped. Police cut the lock and summoned the local Division of Family Services.
Major Griffin of the Claycomo Police says that “once inside, officers along with the DFS observed that the house was not in good living condition with filth and clutter everywhere.” According to the Major, dangerous objects such as needles and knives were out in the open.
The girl’s father returned home around 2 p.m.. Police believe that the child had been left alone in the home since he left at 9am that morning. The father was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child, and was taken to the Clay County Jail.
The man’s name was not immediately available because he had not yet been charged.
