(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 18, 2007 ) Seattle, Washington, USA –- Twisted Pair Solutions, a pioneer in Unified Communications software built to open standards, today announced that its WAVETM software platform has been deployed by the Orlando Sanford International Airport as part of a major upgrade to the airport’s emergency management capability. WAVE’s robust architecture and seamless communications hardware integration has transformed the airport’s trouble-prone analog crash phone system into a cost-effective, highly reliable and readily scalable IP platform for critical emergency communications.

Airport crash phones, which are critical for response coordination in an emergency, typically rely on an antiquated collection of analog hardware, making them costly to maintain, impossible to expand and prone to frequent system failure – all problems routinely faced by SAA. The airport needed a new solution that offered near-infallible reliability, cost-effective management, maintenance and expansion, and that allowed for rapid deployment. After learning of WAVE, airport management knew they had found that solution and contracted with integrator VoiceInterop, of Boca Rotan, Florida, for the design and installation of a WAVE-powered system.
