(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 19, 2008 ) Agawam, MA - - Since 2005, Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp. has worked with the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs to deliver financial literacy training to military veterans at the organizationÂ’s Newington campus. Cambridge is proud to announce that today it will begin providing similar instruction in a new educational initiative at the VAÂ’s West Haven facility.
“It is our distinct honor to offer this valuable education to those who have risked so much for us,” remarked Christopher Viale, president of Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp. “Cambridge is proud to expand our offerings to the veterans who call Connecticut home, and we hope to someday bring this free program to other VA facilities throughout the United States.”
Participants in the West Haven program are homeless veterans who hope to make a transition into group housing and, eventually, return to independent living. To prepare these individuals, CambridgeÂ’s curriculum will focus on the importance of re-establishing a solid credit history, as well as on the importance of developing a budget that will accommodate expenses and build savings. Organizations interested in learning more about CambridgeÂ’s educational offerings for veterans are invited to contact Martin Lynch, CambridgeÂ’s Director of Education, at 413-241-2401.
