Thanks to Make-A-Wish® Mid-South and wish sponsor Greenway Home Services, Betty now has that opportunity. Betty was surprised with her dream to see the whales (Free Willy is one of her favorite movies) become a reality. The employees of Greenway Home Services planned the magical afternoon.
On December 14, 2012, Wish kid Betty received the good news at Greenway Home Services headquarters in Memphis. Volunteers included in making this little girl’s wish to come true were Amelia Renshaw, Debbie Mann and Blanca Toledo.
Greenway Home Services, an appliance repair company in Memphis, was proud to be a sponsor along with Make-A Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish Mid-South grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Mid-South Chapter has granted more than 4,000 wishes since its inception in 1986. Wish kids can be referred by a parent/legal guardian, a physician involved in their medical care, or the child themselves. Wish kids must be between the ages of 2 ˝ and 18 at the time of referral.
