The triple pane option will provide homeowners with an added way of insulating their homes along with cutting down on noise, the company said.

Elias added that competitors such as Weathergard Windows and Wallside Windows don’t have the combination of insulating value and affordability that Hansons replacement windows has with their triple pane option, which the company said pays for itself.
“Triple pane windows are an investment, not a purchase,” Elias said. “This is the choice for the homeowner who wants to make excellent long term savings to energy costs.”
The 1-800-HANSONS triple pane glass has two insulated chambers instead of just one, as is the case with double paned windows. The extra chamber means more space in which to fill with air, argon or krypton in order to stop heat transfer, as well as cutting down on noise.
Elias said that Hansons Windows triple pane features glass which has nearly 40% better insulating value than that offered by Weathergard Windows and Wallside Windows.
The company said that triple pane also makes sense because 1-800-HANSONS customers are all in Michigan or Ohio, and triple pane performs very well in northern climates. The glass’ sound-reducing element also works well for homes near freeways and highways, which makes up a healthy portion of the company’s customer base.
