(EstateNewsWire.com, February 27, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- A young apprentice has made a name for himself after he made it through to the national finals of the plumbing competition for a second year in a row.
The young apprentice, Harry Teasdale Jr., who works for the HT Energy in Swainby, North Yorkshire, walked away with his first-place standing after he impressed the judges at the regional showing of HIP Magazine's Apprentice of the Year competition for 2013.
The 18-year-old has studied at Redcar & Cleveland College as a part of his Plumbing and Heating Apprenticeship program, and ad to show a myriad of skills during a day of complex tasks. Some of the tasks included installing a radiator, as well as carrying out proper plumbing work.
Teasdale competed against student from five competing Universities in the Northeast heat, but was able to come out on top thanks to his ability to maintain composed and express poise and precision to compliment his skill set.
The Stockton student said: "I was very chuffed to win the regional heat and now can't wait for the national final in May.
"The tasks they set us were not easy, but I really enjoyed it and just tried to approach it as though it was a normal day at work. Competitions are always a bit nerve-wracking, but it was definitely worth it."
Teasdale's company, Redcar and Cleveland College's Eco House training center, which has been fitted with the latest in renewable training equipment, has allowed its young star apprentice to develop his skills in the necessary tasks needed, and become a bright future master of the plumbing and heating arts within the renewable industry.
