The Tree Farm Architectural Team Selected

(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 05, 2008 ) Boise, Idaho – The Tree Farm, a new mixed-use community in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, today announced that it has selected four Architectural Teams for its Magnolia Neighborhood, which features large homesites with custom, estate-style homes in northwest Meridian. Because the homesites are so varied and unique in this portion of The Tree Farm, each architect team has been asked to design a home to showcase their chosen homesite’s special attributes while also displaying the architect’s individual style and talents.

“This program demonstrates the huge range of possibilities in our Magnolia Neighborhood,” said Derick O’Neill, president of O’Neill Enterprises which is developing The Tree Farm. “The team approach gives our homebuyers a clear step up – the expert architectural and building team has already done all the groundwork to get the buyer started on the road to their own perfect home. It really gives our customers a clear idea of what can mean to live in The Tree Farm.”

A call was issued for applications to be part of The Tree Farm architecture program, and four well-known area architects were selected to participate: Jim Glancey of James T. Glancey Architects; Trey Hoff of Trey Hoff Designs Architecture; Beth Lassen of Beth Lassen Design Company; and Catherine Scott of Catherine B. Scott/residential design, LLC. Each architect selected a homesite to work with that would best showcase their own style and then designed a home to take advantage of the landÂ’s features, views and location.

Catherine Scott said, “I don’t usually do ‘spec’ projects, but when I learned that O’Neill Enterprises was the developer for The Tree Farm, I knew it would something special and I wasn’t disappointed. Everything good in life always begins with a vision of the end result and the O'Neills are exceptionally good at looking at a piece of land and seeing a thriving, enlivening, nurturing community that fits the needs and desires of many different kinds of people.”

Each architect partnered with a custom home builder to create a complete package for homebuyers with all the cost and elements for building and owning the home built-in. Buyers can choose one of the Architectural Team packages, where the process has already been started for them by some of BoiseÂ’s finest professionals, or design and build their own custom home on the homesite of their choice.

The Magnolia Neighborhood features homesites up to one acre in size, surrounded by open space, pathways, enhanced natural areas and parks. Rim-front locations offer expansive views of the Spurwing Golf Course and Boise River Valley.

Homes and homesites are currently available for purchase, with the first homes slated for completion by spring 2009. Call 208-343-TREE (8733) for sales information or to schedule a tour.
