Location
The emirate of Ajman is one of the seven emirates (states) that comprise the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is situated along the Persian Gulf.
It is the smallest emirate in the UAE, covering an area of 460 square kilometres (178 square miles) and is located closest to the emirates of Sharjah, Dubai, and Umm Al Quwain.
Ajman also controls Masfut and Manama, two small inland enclaves that are primarily agricultural.
Approximately 95 per cent of the population of the emirate resides in the city of Ajman.

Ajman is popular with tourists and known for its major cultural and sports activities and for the beautiful buildings that adorn the area.
The emirate has a beautiful stretch of white sandy beach and is a great place to bask in the hot sun and enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

The Ajman International Airport, which will host two million passengers per year, has also been announced, and construction will start before the end of the year in the Al Manama area, with airport operations set to start by 2011.

Ajman is currently the only emirate in the UAE offering investors of any nationality fully transparent 100 per cent freehold ownership on property, which in turn has attracted a huge number of local and international investors to the area.
This in turn has prompted the Ajman Government to initiate a number of development projects.
