(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 08, 2008 ) Ruhpolding, Germany - TheMoveChannel.com, the leading international property portal, announces a number of new properties in Germany:
· Brandenburg (£60,000, 1 bed flat, pay just 50%)
· Fehrb (£213,950, 1 bed apartment, central Berlin, architecturally beautiful)
Properties in Germany are unlikely to be an investment opportunity UK investors have considered in the past, so TheMoveChannel.com provides an overview of Ruhpolding.
Ruhpolding - One of NatureÂ’s Finest
Located in the south of the Chiemgau region in Upper Bavaria, Germany, Ruhpolding is only 40 kilometres from Salzburg and 140 kilometres from Munich.
This quaint and charming Alpine village is home to about 6,500 permanent residents and is a very popular tourist destination, particularly for Germans. This is mainly due to its great location - accessible from all parts of the country due to the efficient local train and road networks.
Due to its setting in the Bavarian Alps, Ruhpolding is an ideal location for nature lovers. There are hundreds of trails for walkers and cyclists that will take them into many areas of outstanding scenic beauty.
In the summer the area sees a surge of tourists chasing Alpine pursuits, such as hill walking, mountain biking and trekking.
Ruhpolding offers more than just treks and hikes; the area also boasts its own 18-hole golf course, ski slopes and the Vita Alpina Wellness Centre.
Great Golf
The Ruhpolding Golf Club is immensely popular in Bavaria and is situated near idyllic streams, surrounded by farmland, as well as offering sumptuous mountain views. The course is a par 72 and was recently developed into an 18-hole course. The Green fees range between £36 and £45.
Ski Supreme
The Ruhpolding ski resort has direct access to 22 kilometres of downhill skiing, with 18 individual pistes, served by 12 ski lifts that are able to accommodate 5,000 skiers per hour.
The resort has two black runs, six red runs and two blue runs and is particularly good for beginners, with over 100 ski instructors available to teach cross-country and downhill techniques.
The resort is in the southern-eastern part of Bavaria and with a couple of airports just two hours away by car, the area is easily accessible for those seeking a short ski and snowboard holiday in Ruhpolding.
Splendid Spa
Ruhpolding has been a famous spa and tourist resort since 1948. The ‘Vita Alpina’ is a fantastic recreational attraction for anyone who loves to be in or around the water.
The resort offers a wealth of relaxing and health inducing facilities. ThereÂ’s foot-bathing in water with salt from the Dead Sea and the ultimate in relaxation in a steam bath or sauna.
The inimitable ‘Wave’ is an integral part of the Vita Alpina, which has now been expanded to include its very own ‘Primal Ocean,’ a large open-air pool filled with warm salt water. This true treat for body and soul has water jets, bubbling waters, neck showers, geysers and bubble seats.
Dan Johnson, Managing Director, comments:
“Ruhpolding is a village set against the Bavarian Alps that mixes local traditions with a wonderful display of nature, making this charming place one of the best places to visit in Germany.”
