It is also within easy walking distance of the historic town of Russell, the birth place of New Zealand.
Eagles Nest has already had its fair share of fame - not only was it featured on an episode of the American reality dating TV series The Bachelor, it was also named as one of the worldÂ’s top 100 hotels by Conde Nast Traveller magazine and Tatler magazine.
Whilst the asking price is a closely guarded secret - sending publicity for the property soaring (as the agents well know), the local council - the Far North District Council offers an indication of the value in its rating roll. It says the capital value is around £1.1 million and the land value is around £550,000.
