(OPXS), a leading manufacturer of optical sighting systems and assemblies primarily for Department of Defense applications, Monday announced that General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (GD), awarded Optex a $1.9 million purchase order for additional ICWS (Improved Commander's Weapon Station) Periscopes. The ICWS Periscopes are a critical component of the M1A2 Abrams Tank; and additionally, Optex is currently manufacturing other plastic periscopes for General Dynamics Land Systems for the M1A2 Abrams Tank.
