Research In Motion Limited (RIM) surprises Wall Street with better than expected earnings and record BlackBerry sales. Revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 2010 was $3.92 billion, up 11% from $3.53 billion in the previous quarter and up 41% from $2.78 billion in the same quarter of last year.
RIM shipped 10.1 million BlackBerries and added 4.4 million new BlackBerry subscribers last Quarter ending November 28th.
RIM has now shipped over 75 million BlackBerry phones and has a subscriber base of 36 million accounts.
Despite the iPhone and the Android phones, lead by theMotorola Droid, RIM is managing to do extremely well. The BlackBerry fan base is pretty big and established world-wide though.
