Each screening includes checking tenant evictions, name aliases, previous addresses, criminal history search and confirmation that the information provided by the potential tenant actually matches a verifiable identity. The investigative screening process only takes about 6 hours and includes a review by a licensed private investigator.
Many companies companies offer tenant screening but typically charge another $10 per state for additional addresses and name searches. Most also charge for additional services and separate the background check from the criminal history check often costing the landlord over $40 per screening.
