Risky Stocks or Good Investments? (EK, SIRI, DISH, NFLX)

(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 01, 2011 ) Minneapolis, MN - Investors dumped. Then dumped some more. Then for good measure, dumped just a little bit more.

That's how Friday can be summed up for the struggling Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK). The company is fighting off bankruptcy fears.

That was enough to bring concern to investors. You could argue that the writing is on the wall for Kodak. However, Mega Stock Picks reports that only time will tell if Kodak is too risky at these prices.

Eastman Kodak Company closed at .78 on Friday, down .91 (-53.84%). A bit of good news, though. In after hours hours trading, shares of EK jumped back over $1.

Despite losing more than 50 percent on the day, the company tried to ease the tension.

"Kodak is committed to meeting all of its obligations and has no intention of filing for bankruptcy," the company said in a statement.

Bankruptcy fears hit strong Friday following a published report that said the company has hired a law firm that handles bankruptcies and restructuring.

Kodak is a pioneer in the photography industry. But the sudden explosive growth in digital photography may have hit the Rochester, N.Y., company too hard. Kodak has lost a reported $1.8 billion since 2007.

Other stocks on the bubble include Sirius XM Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI), Dish Network (Nasdaq: DISH) and Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX).
