Sunset Gower Studios Honors

In addition to presenting the plaque to the noted actor, studio CEO Robert Papazian, also had a permanent silver plate affixed to the entry door of Stage 14, the original site of the production. The television sitcom shot over a 4 year span, was about a recovering alcoholic who becomes the manager of a big city bus station. The theme of the tragicomedic show was best described by an old carnival sign that hung on the set wall proclaiming, 'This is a Dark Ride.” “The John Larroquette Show” was a most unique and entertaining series that amassed an impressive number of awards including nominations from the Golden Globe, the Emmys, and the Image Award shows. It won an Emmy for guest actress Betty White and for outstanding performances in a comedy series for Liz Torres, from the NCLR Bravo and Nosotros Golden Eagle awards.
