Oshkosh Dryer Vent Cleaning Wizard CouldnÂ’t Resist Checking out the Dryer Vent System

When Robb went to present a donation from the Paper Valley HBBA group, he asked if he could look at their dryer vent system.

The director director told Robb that they just new venting installed so everything should be fine. He respectfully asked if he could at least look at the system to which the director agreed.

What Robb found was a very short system constructed of foil with duct tape holding things together. He informed the shelter staff that foil was against the recommendations of the dryer manufacturer, Consumer Product Safety Commission and the National Fire Protection Association to name a few. The fact the dryer was a gas dryer made the adherence to the proceeding groupsÂ’ recommendation that much more important.
