(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 02, 2012 ) Harrisburg, PA -- Professionals who utilize Craigslist real estate marketing techniques likely have run into various issues whenever posting. Without question, this is one of the best platforms available to generate a ton of traffic and leads, but it doesnÂ’t come without its own set of complications.
Josh Schoenly of Retechulous, LLC reports, “There is no proven formula that Craigslist follows in order to protect their website from spam. Truthfully, I feel that most efforts seem to be overly cautious in a majority of cases, and this can negatively impact legitimate advertisers. However, the results that are produced by implementing this strategy are certainly worth the frustration.”
Some of these known issues that Schoenly’s clients run into with Craigslist real estate marketing are known as “flagging,” “ghosting,” and even “IP banning.” In other words, either live users or system algorithms will delete or remove ads that seem to violate certain terms of service. These restrictions are not always warranted as sometimes competition can even have an impact on how rules are enforced, for example.
“It is astonishing how drastically different each of these factors impacts a user’s campaign based upon where they live. Although there is no guaranteed solution, agents can consider the following whenever they are facing a problem: adjust image ad size, use text that will not be detected as spam, vary ad and title copy, do not over post in any one area, and provide details on actual property listings just to name a few,” instructs Schoenly.
Agents are encouraged to test several variables against a control until they can find a solution that produces the best results for their Craigslist real estate marketing. Get even more great tips and training right away by visiting SchoenlyÂ’s website below.
