The Highland Business Association and LaFontaine Automotive Group are once again hosting this year’s annual “Sparks In The Park Community Fireworks Event” scheduled for Saturday, June 30, 2007 at the Hickory Ridge Community Park (Huron Valley Soccer Fields). The park opens and festivities begin at 6:00 p.m.In addition to an awesome fireworks show put on by Zambelli Fireworks (the same company as the Detroit Fireworks), this year’s expanded event will include musical entertainment (five live bands), children’s activities (inflatables and a rock-climbing wall) and a variety of food choices. This is the second consecutive year that the Highland Business Association and LaFontaine Automotive Group have sponsored Sparks in the Park. Ms. Tami Flowers, of the Highland Business Association, is very excited about this years expanded event. “We’re really looking forward to bringing back the live entertainment and children’s activities. HBA is proud to be involved in continuing this wonderful tradition that the community has enjoyed and supported for several years”. The Highland Downtown Development Authority was the original sponsor of Sparks in the Park beginning in 2000.
