 (EMAILWIRE.COM, February 15, 2012 ) Boston, MA -- After having an opportunity to speak with Tony Gallo, owner of Gallo Moving & Storage last week to see what sets him apart from others within his industry and, this sentence sums up his motto: “Take care of the customer.”
In an effort to live up to this motto, Tony decided to build in some additional value to his already exceptional line of moving and storage services. As he began brainstorming different ways to make this happen, Tony was reminded of a common challenge facing many of his customers- electronics recycling. It always seemed that many of his customers had computer monitors they were no longer using. In TonyÂ’s neck of the woods, recycling computer monitors costs about $15-$20 each so, he decided to offer free recycling and disposal of computer monitors to all of his moving clients.
Not satisfied with just adding one additional item of value to his moving services, Tony also remembered another common problem plaguing his customers: excess papers! And not just any papers, but sensitive documents such as invoices and credit card statements- things that just couldnÂ’t be tossed in a recycling bin. Using his local connections, Tony teamed up with a commercial document shredder to offer his customers free shredding of sensitive paperwork. By adding these two services, not only does it save his customers much needed cash, but perhaps more importantly, it gives them a couple of less things to worry about at a time when thereÂ’s already so much to do!
Within the past year, Tony also decided to expand his business by offering portable storage solutions for clients. A lot of time and effort went into find the perfect solution that would be a good fit for his established moving company. After much consideration, Tony decided on C.O.W.S. (Containers On Wheels). And, with just one year under his belt, he has managed to become one of the top three of all C.O.W.S. franchisees, which is no little feat!
Although the downturn of the economy has forced Gallo Moving & Storage to fight a little harder for business and despite the fact that he added two value services to his moving packages, he hasnÂ’t raised his rates in 6 years. Maybe thatÂ’s why heÂ’s won a place in United Van Lines Million Dollar Club!
