Building Wartime Relationships: Operation Toys For Troops

Therefore, after the initial idea from Sgt. Michael Husken from Redford, Mi, and, a soldier stationed in Iraq, WWJ- AM (950) and the Wilson Companies LLC. have teamed up to collect and send toys over to the children in Iraq. This grassroots effort, deemed “Operation Toys for Troops,” is a one-time, charity drive to purchase and collect toys for our troops to distribute to the Iraqi youth. For every $5,000 Operation Toys for Troops collects, around 800 stuffed animals and 500 soccer balls can be purchased.
