Bill Richardson On Immigration

Bush recently lost a bout to Congress to create an immigration plan that would essentially provide amnesty to the 12.5 million undocumented immigrants now living in the United States. Most of the Congressmen and Senators who opposed the President's proposal were Democrats and Republicans who feared losing political ground in their districts if they supported the plan. “He's (Richardson) a border Governor,” adds California State Senator Denise Ducheny, Imperial Valley, who supports Richardson's Presidential bid for the Democratic Party. “He understands the needs of the economy and the workforce and the workforce value of this immigrant population.
