With a new Fireglass Calculator to aid consumers in the purchase of fireglass. The calculator takes into account the type and dimensions of the fixture that will contain the glass. While Starfire Direct has accepted credit card payments for a while, it is now possible to purchase their products using a pre-existing Google Wallet® or PalPal® account. Google Wallet®, named after its parent company Google, is a new payment method that turns a smartphone into a customer’s wallet. Rather than keep the physical copies of your credit and debit cards with them, a person’s financial information is stored on the secure Google servers. NFC point-of-sale terminals are located in physical stores at the cash register. These terminals allow the user to tap the phone against the reader and a select one of their cards from a list on the main screen to complete the purchase. These accounts are available on the internet as well for websites like Starfire Direct that uses Google Wallet®. Combining the physical shopping experience with online cart systems simplifies the users finances. PalPal® is a much older system of digital payment in that it has been around since 1996. PalPal® stores bank account and credit card information in an online account. Rather than filling out this information each time for separate purchases, PalPal® allows the user to pay with the click of a button. Either by putting money into an account to cover the cost of a purchase or selecting a payment method, PalPal® will charge the appropriate selection for a small fee. New products are being added to the store every month. Most recently, a 72” Copper Canyon Rectangle Fire Pit has been introduced on the website. The fire pit is priced at just under $5000 and is designed to fit larger outdoor seating areas. The pit is hand made in Starfire Direct’s California Facility to house the 250,000 BTU stainless steel gas burner. The Copper design is best suited to withstand the elements and is perfectly built to house Fireglass or lava rocks. If fireglass is purchased with the Copper Canyon Rectangle Fire Pit, Starfire Direct is offering a 15% discount on that glass for a limited time. The pit is 72” long and comes with a tabletop option to streamline the exterior look when not in use as a firepit. Due to the custom nature of the item, it takes 3-4 weeks to build each pit and all units are built to order. This process assures the highest quality of brushed copper and level of craftsmanship in constructing the frame for each unit.
The recent September/October issue of Design Bureau Magazine interviewed eight guest editors about what inspires them to design, one of which was Starfire Direct partner Antonio Ballatore. Ballatore is most known for HGTV’s “The Antonio Treatment,” but has teamed with Starfire Direct in the past to build custom fireplaces features on his show and for private clients. One of these projects is outlined in the magazine article.
