Dried Flowers for Sale - Lavender World Provides Some Useful Advice

(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 23, 2012 ) York, UK -- If one is aged between 20 and 50, and see dried flowers for sale one probably view them as dusty ornaments mother or grandmother used in a bid to brighten up a corner of a room.

Of course initially these added colour or fragrance. However, prejudice is not against the dried flowers themselves but the amount of time they would sit there gathering dust.

Now, however, freshly dried flowers have a myriad of aromatic and therapeutic advantages. Gone are the days of a vase on a lace doily: now dried flowers are hip, romantic and luxurious.

Add a French Flavour

In France some delis house drawers of dried flowers both for culinary purposes or decoration. They dry them quickly to maintain their strong fragrance then sell them in bouquets much the same way fresh flowers are sold. These herbs and flowers look amazing when hung from a kitchen ceiling, or adorning any kitchen wall. One can pick off herbs for cooking as needed or take a flower head of use in numerous crafts and activities.

Dried flowers in a vase still look elegant whilst delivering a subtle scent. However, the trick is to mix them with own green garden foliage to give a fresh feel. Instead of viewing them as a permanent decoration, change them every few months, using the flowers for other items such as pot pourri. Sprinkling with a little essential oil will enhance the fragrance, and the dry nature will allow maximum absorption.

Roses for Romance

If one spot some dried roses for sale, a person will find that dried rose petals are ideal for romance, for either decorating a candlelit table or sprinkling on a bed, and for years luxurious hotels have harnessed the power of this flower. On beds, even if romance is not intended, the heat of the body as sleep rehydrates the rose petals rewarding with a heavenly scent all night long. Some edible varieties are also ideal for adding to champagne glasses, as they give an attractive appearance as the liquid penetrates the rose.

Relax and Enjoy

Many dried flowers are used for aromatherapy purposes, and there is no better time to relax and unwind than in a hot steaming bath. Lavender held under hot running water will release a fragrance that will soothe the spirit as a person unwind. Chamomile also has a calming effect, whilst roses add a perfume that is impossible to mimic with any synthetic bubble bath.

Lavender is also ideal for tucking into the corners of a housewife pillowcase, renowned for its sleep inducing properties, it also relieves headaches and as one rests their head one will inhale the scent giving one of the best nightÂ’s sleeps they have ever enjoyed.

Made for Medicine

Just as dried lavender is known to help with migraines, other dried flowers can help to relieve the symptoms of coughs and colds. Dried eucalyptus is ideal for adding to a bowl of hot water before placing a towel over the head and inhale the vapours. If one add a touch of chamomile too not only will one be curing blocked sinuses, a personalso enjoy a homemade facial.
